Cost Effective Mapping
Mapping software can be expensive. This site uses the powerful and free software QGIS, with references to ArcGIS and Mapbox to explain how maps can be designed, built and used. It explains how spatial data can be collected using free or low cost applications on mobile phones.
This site is intended for use by community groups and individuals, such as farmers, environmentalists, bushwalkers and mountain bikers.
Building and using electronic maps is an interesting, stimulating and useful activity.
